About Axios

Axios was founded 1997 to advance health care in developing countries. We are specialists in healthcare systems with a focus on chronic disease management and drug delivery integrating local resources and priorities.

Our originality resides in how and with whom we work.

  • Our Aim is to understand where the system is broken and create tools to fix it.
  • Our work process has three phases.
    • We invent new, integrated approaches,
    • We verify these approaches, and
    • We facilitate large-scale roll-out.
  • Our Mission is to mobilize the private sector through partnerships. Our clients' programs must improve outcomes for the greatest number of people.
  • Our Signature is
Axios, Better Systems, More Treatments, Better Care.

Focus

HIV/AIDS and cancer are two of our specialties, but not just because of the challenges they pose. HIV/AIDS and cancer share the fact that the advent of treatment has converted them from deadly to chronic diseases.

Unfortunately, healthcare delivery in developing countries is generally not organized to manage chronic patients. Our systems approach addresses this gap to better the conditions of care for all patients.
